You can renew the plates on a vehicle that is registered jointly if either you or your spouse has an active MySGI account and an email registered to your group Customer Number. If you do not have an email registered to your group Customer Number, please visit your motor licence issuer or contact SGI at 1-844-TLK-2SGI (1-844-855-2744) during regular business hours.

Can I change my banking information online?

Currently, updating your banking information requires an in-person visit to your local motor licence issuer so that we can verify your identity and banking information.

I have 3 vehicle registration eligibility notifications. Why are only 2 of them displayed?

If you think you have another vehicle registration coming due that you cannot see in your online list of vehicles, please contact your motor licence issuer.

What can I do if I renew the wrong vehicle?

It’s important that you read the screens carefully to ensure the correct vehicle registration is renewed. If you do make a mistake, please contact your motor licence issuer immediately.

Which vehicles are eligible for renewal or completion of the AutoPay registration eligibility declaration on MySGI?

Individuals, group customers and company customers can complete renewal transactions for most personal, farm, and commercial vehicles on MySGI.

Once you’re signed in to MySGI, the Notification Centre on the main profile screen will list all annual, term, or AutoPay registrations that are due to expire within the next 30 days, or have already expired or been cancelled in the last year. Registrations that have expired or been cancelled within the last year can only be renewed if the licence plate is in your possession.

Which vehicles are ineligible for renewal or completion of the AutoPay registration eligibility declaration on MySGI?

Individuals, group customers and company customers can complete renewal transactions for most personal, farm, and commercial vehicles on MySGI.

Commercial vehicles registered under the International Registration Plan (IRP) and vehicles registered in classes GC, L, LT, PB, PC, PS and PT are ineligible for renewal in MySGI.

If your vehicle requires a safety inspection, it is ineligible for renewal on MySGI. You will be required to visit a motor licence issuer with the satisfactory safety inspection. Registrations that have expired or been cancelled more than 12 months from the current date cannot be renewed on MySGI. These vehicles may be subject to other registration requirements and you will be required to visit a motor licence issuer.

Class MT snowmobiles are not eligible for AutoPay as a payment option.

How do I complete my AutoPay registration eligibility declaration?

To complete your AutoPay registration eligibility declaration, select Renew my registration from the My Vehicles menu. Select the vehicle you wish to complete the declaration for from the list of vehicles provided. You will then be taken through the steps to complete your registration eligibility declaration.
